Country Fair 2023: New Faculty at Eaglebrook

There are some exciting additions to the faculty group here at Eaglebrook. The new faculty members are extremely thrilled to start working with the students, and some of them have even spent time here at the Summer Semester Program, as well as participating in the new faculty training during the month of August.
- Mr. Spencer Bell graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and joined as a new Science teacher at Eaglebrook. He is living and advising in Eagles Nest, and he teaches Fourth Form Science and coaches Juniors Soccer.
- Ms. Cara Chandler graduated from Southern Connecticut State University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She will be joining Eaglebrook as the director of Health Services.
- Mr. Sean Forys graduated from the University of Springfield and worked 10 years for Springfield College and Yale University. He will be joining Eaglebrook as the Assistant Director of Admissions.
- Ms. Tarah Garneau will be joining the Eaglebrook community as the new Athletic Trainer alongside Mr. Congleton ‘06. She will also be teaching Health and Anatomy classes in the winter term. She will be an active member of the Athletic Department.
- Mr. Griffen Hill graduated from the College of the Holy Cross. He is part of the Science Department, teaching Earth Science to Fifth Formers and also coaching the cross-country team in the fall.
- Even though Mr. Ejaaz Jiu has been here since the spring term of 2023, he is still counted as a new faculty member. He is from New York and graduated from Bowdoin College. He teaches Fifth and Sixth Form History and is also the Varsity baseball coach. He lives in Taylor House.
- Mr. Drew Parsons was an alumnus of Eaglebrook’s class of 2016, and went on to go to Phillips Exeter Academy and the College of Holy Cross, and wanted to give back to the Eaglebrook community by being a teacher. He is teaching Math, coaching Thirds soccer as well as living and advising in Flagler house.
- Ms. Carmen Ramirez is from Spain and Mexico, spending most of her childhood in the former and her adolescence and adulthood in the latter. At Eaglebrook, she teaches Beginning and Novice Spanish classes. She also coaches Juniors Soccer and lives in Mayer House. She is also an architect and was even in the same class as Frank Ghery, who designed the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain. Additionally, she loves figure skating, dancing, and fashion.
- Ms. Andie Rawson is a new faculty member who most recently taught mathematics at Central High School in Springfield Massachusetts while pursuing her M.Ed. at UMass Amherst. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Smith College in 2022, where she also competed for the Swim and Dive team. She teaches Algebra and Geometry, advises in Mayer House, and coaches water polo in the fall.
- Mr. Ryan McClure is from Apple Valley, Minnesota, and graduated from Dartmouth College in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He coaches Cross Country in the fall and Competitive Skiing in the winter. He currently teaches Sixth Form Biology and appreciates the freedom the curriculum grants him. He currently lives in Eagle’s Nest with his cat Scout.
- Mr. Tomas Manto is from Charlottesville, Virginia, and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. At Eaglebrook, he teaches Foundational Art and coaches Cross Country. He occasionally supervises Halsted and lives on campus in the Swift House. He also fosters kittens in his free time.
- Mr. Nick Sadnytzky is from New York City and graduated from Columbia University. He teaches Making Stuff, Game Design, and Intro to 3D Modeling at Eaglebrook and coaches JV2 Soccer. He lives in Kostecki House on campus and advises at Eagle’s Nest. He also used to play the bassoon.
- Ms. Margaret Sikoski is a new teacher in the Visual Arts department, teaching Digital Art and Stone carving. Additionally, she coaches Pickleball in the fall and uses her free time to go hiking, take photos, and spend time with family.
- Mr. Dylan Weichselbaumer ’16, brother of Caden Weichselbaumer ’24, recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Public Relations. While there, he played for their hockey team for four years, becoming captain in his senior year. At Eaglebrook, he teaches Third Form History and various electives. He also coaches Varsity soccer in the fall. His free time is spent fishing, working out, golfing, and being outside.
