The Eaglebrook football team has experienced its fair share of ups and downs over the past couple of years. In 2021, the team wrapped up the season with an impressive record, suffering only one loss. However, the following year, things took a different turn. Riding the wave of one of their most successful seasons in school history, Eaglebrook spirits were soaring high and the atmosphere was electric. Little did they know, a bumpy road lay ahead, bringing the team crashing back to reality after their very first game. This trend persisted throughout the season, resulting in a final tally of three wins and three losses. It became clear that the football team needed a fresh start and some significant changes.
The first order of business was to appoint a new head football coach who could lead the team toward success. After careful consideration, Mr. Jack Faulstick emerged as the choice candidate for the position of Eaglebrook Head Football Coach. With this decision in place, the team embarked on a series of transformations, beginning with the construction of a brand-new turf football field. Our other coaches are Mr. Fay, Mr. Goodrow, Mr. Jiu, Mr. Mariani, and Mr. Winslow ’07.
While they had a few player-related matters to address, the team welcomed new additions to the roster and still had a wealth of returning talent. Their ambitions and goals were set high, fueled by the collective belief that they could achieve greatness. In addition to these changes, the team adopted a new mantra that now echoes through their ranks: “Forget about me, I love you.” Interestingly, this powerful quote cleverly forms the acronym F.A.M.I.L.Y., representing the core values and aspirations that the Eaglebrook team strives to embody.
