Composed of eight students and assisted by Ms. Blain, the Student Council represents the student body. During the fall, we organized Spirit Week, a 7-day event for students and faculty members to dress up to the matching theme that changes every day. For Monday, it was Twin Day: a day to choose someone to twin with and dress up in the same outfit. For Tuesday, we celebrated Halloween. On Wednesday, we had School Color Day, where we could wear red, white, and blue. During Thursday, we thanked our advisors with Advisee Pride Day, a day to match up with your advisee group and show unity. Lastly, for Friday, we celebrated Jersey Day, a day to show our immense pride for our favorite sports teams. I was thrilled to see students actively participating in Spirit Week and saw lots of creative outfits each day. Moreover, on Pink Day—a day to support those who have been impacted by breast cancer—the Student Council helped with collecting donations for Rays of Hope, a breast cancer charity, and handed out pink ribbons for the students.

Currently, the Student Council is promoting Friday Dress Down Day for all students. Eaglebrook strictly regulates classroom dress during school days, and we were aware of the students’ desire to wear something comfortable during the school week. We thought about ways to solve students’ needs. After obtaining approval from the dorm parents, we came up with Friday Dress Down Day, where students can wear casual, comfortable clothes to school. We are starting Friday Dress Down Day on January 12th.

The Student Council is working tirelessly to reflect the ideas of the students and encourage students to enjoy their time at Eaglebrook. The council also serves to support any students in need of help.

The 2024 Eaglebrook Student Council is led by Ms. Blain and consists of President Harry Kim ‘24, Vice President Brad Mallory ‘24, Secretary/Treasurer Evan Williams ‘24, Stefan Flaska ‘24, Charlie Mosier ‘24, Paul Kung ‘24, Peter Lakey ‘24, and Nico Potts ‘24.
