Winter Carnival is an annual tradition at Eaglebrook that takes place at the beginning of February. Known for its deep history and connection to the students, Winter Carnival is the second oldest of its kind in the United States, and with the 102nd edition coming up, students are jubilated and ready to participate in this grand festival.

On Friday, parents can join their children working hard in their respective classes to celebrate another day of joyful learning. After classes, the school will have lunch together before Winter Carnival begins. Winter Carnival is filled with fun and challenging games, and whichever dorm has the most points wins.

In the evening, the Evening of the Arts is going to be a feast for the audiences’ ears, as there are multiple groups like the string orchestra, jazz band, chorus, and ad libs performing.

This year, students are preparing their cardboard sleds for the sled racing derby. In every activity period, students can be seen working away in the woodshop and avidly using their curiosity and hands-on experience to build the fastest and best-looking sled while maintaining sustainability.

Despite its long history, the core value of Winter Carnival is still the same: bringing people together. Students from different backgrounds all over the world come together in this event to bring joy among themselves and carry warmth and compassion to somebody else. This year’s Winter Carnival is definitely going to be a lot of fun, and with Eaglebrook stepping forward into the next century of the school’s rich history, Winter Carnival will always be an undivided part of the Eaglebrook community.
