This winter, the competitive skiing team was given the opportunity to travel to and train with Gould Academy. The trip began with a long ride north lasting about four hours. Upon arriving we were greeted by The Gould Admissions team, who were super hospitable and kind. After talking about the school and their training program, we embarked on a student led tour of the campus. We had the opportunity to see the school's dorms, dining hall, classrooms, and their super impressive ski locker room and tuning facility.

After our campus tour the team headed back to our house for naps and showers before dinner. Our dinner consisted of poutine and burgers, and after eating, we had the opportunity to go back to Gould’s campus for their annual ski sale. Afterwards, the team went back to the house, where we hung out in the hottub before getting an early rest for training the next day.

The next morning, we had an early rise before taking the short drive to Sunday River Ski Resort, where we met Gould’s coach. We had a full day of skiing under Mr. Loftus and Gould’s coach and were shown all the school has to offer from a private lodge and trail to international ski trips in the off season. After the day of skiing we went back to the house to use the hot tub and get ready for dinner.

Our second dinner was sweet and sour chicken with rice, and we got the opportunity to eat in Gould's dining hall, where we met the admissions team once again. The next day, we had another day of focused free skiing before making our way back down south to campus in time for an awesome Sunday Meeting presented by Mr. Mandell.
