This year's JV1 basketball team comprises veteran Six Formers and skilled underformers. Each player was hand-picked by Coach Runk, Coach Faulstick, and Coach Bell for each individual’s unique talents on the court. There is not one person who would get the ball and drop forty points in one game. However, the team is a collection of different skills that work in unison to create successful basketball.

A standard practice on the JV1 basketball team starts at 3:30 and consists of various drills that range from day to day. Despite this, something the players consistently do is warmups. In the team’s warmups, we do layups off two feet till ten in a row, then transition layups off two feet till ten in a row, then jump shots at midrange, then 2 vs. 1 offense. In the 2 vs. 1 drill we order into 3 different lines and the player in the middle who has a ball runs to the half court and sets the ball down. The two players on each side go to the half-court line, pick up the ball, and play 2 vs. 1 against the player in the middle. At the time of writing this, our record is 2-3. Our next game will be this Saturday home against Cardigan and with your support we can win.
